Zion's Camp 2013

To commemorate the church being involved with Scouting for 100 years, Zion's Camp 2013 was held at Mataguay Scout Camp.  Scouts from all over San Diego came, about 1,300 in all.  They had to clear a field to accommodate such a large group.

It was during the week of July 8-13.  Some of the activities our boys were involved in included:

  • Sailing on Lake Henshaw
  • Basketball
  • Golf
  • Mountain Bike Riding
  • Rock Climbing
  • ATV Riding
  • Gliding (Flying in a real glider)
  • Mountain Man Activities
    • Branding
    • Knife Throwing
    • Tomohawk Throwing
    • Fire building
    • etc.
